So I just found this site...and I too was at many of the shows above; good times and good memories. And like Jeff and Brandon, I too lived with Fiffer and enjoyed all the great music he purchased instead of paying rent. I think I still have an Undermine sticker on a toolbox in my garage courtesy of my one-time neighbor Chris Layton...

The February 17, 1991 show at the Vogue, (Dybbuk, Crain, Kinghorse) was the first show I ever saw. Man, those were good times. I wish I would've kept a record like this of all of the shows I've been to. I would murder a busload of baby orphans if it would get me back all of the tapes and 7" I had from the old days.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a final appearance of Crain with Will and Joey at Another Place Sandwich Shop sometime in mid-1992? I remember a ton of the burgeoning "Riot Grrl" bands played -- Heavens to Betsy, Bratmobile, and some other then-obscure, now-famous act? JC was in particularly fine form, heaving his bass at the show's end and telling everyone to be silent before "Kneel" in a remarkably serious way. Unforgettable and intense moments.
